Glass Seashell Ornament - forest green, blue, gold, pearl
Shells, and notably, cockleshells (scallop shells) are generally used in Christian art to signify pilgrimage and rebirth. They are often used in baptismal services, where the water is poured from a shell onto the head of the person being baptized. This tradition goes back to the early church, as evidenced by the shell's depiction in art. I only learned about this symbolism recently, and that's why I chose shells as one of this year's shapes.
These large ornaments are beautiful on your tree or featured on an ornament stand.
Hand painted blown glass with gold foil accents and crystal/glass rhinestones. Measures 4.3" at the longest span. Comes with pictured ribbon. Varnished. Signed & Dated.
