from the austerity of Lent into the splendor of Easter
ABOUT THIS PROJECT
Psalms of Light is a collection of small mixed media paintings that I painted throughout the 2016 Lenten season. All of the works are illuminations of Psalms that are read and studied in churches around the world at this time of year. If you are not familiar with Lent, it is the 40-day period leading up to Easter Sunday where Christians around the world and in all traditions look inward and fast, pray, and worship together to draw closer to the reality of the brokenness of the world. It all culminates with Easter, our celebration that death has been conquered by Christ on the cross.
